IT’S graduation day for movie star Emma Watson.
The British actor best known as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies was among 2,000 graduates receiving degrees overnight from Brown University.
Watson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the Ivy League university in Rhode Island.
The 24-year-old started at Brown in 2009, the same year she was named the highest-grossing actor of the decade by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Watson had a busy film career during her time as a student, releasing both parts ofHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, This is the End, and the recent Biblical epic Noah.
In addition to her degree — which took an extra year due to her acting commitments — Watson last year became certified to teach yoga and meditation.
Her Potter character Hermione was loved by fans of the franchise, but also loathed by some for her priggy know-it-all mannerisms, captured perfectly by the actress.
Fans who watched her blooming romance and eventual relationship with Rupert Grint’s Ron Weasley are still hoping that the book series’ creator JK Rowling will write more — but it could be a long wait.
